A Housing Partner – Independence House
Next Steps The Colony
Structured, family-style homes where people in crisis can feel safe, supported, and empowered to rebuild — with dignity, accountability, and real goals. Open to anyone ready to invest in their next step.
Independence House was purchased during the first year of his wife Amanda’s cancer battle — a tender and defining season for their family. Independence Day was her favorite holiday, and the name “Independence House” has always carried deep personal meaning. Today, that name reflects something even greater: freedom from chaos, freedom to heal, and freedom to build a new future.
During a challenging season that required prayer and trust, Louis sensed a clear redirection. This home was not simply an investment. It was an entrusted space — meant to serve people ready for a life change.
Now, Independence House is part of our broader housing vision: clean, safe, program-centered homes that support accountability, stability, and true independence. It stands as a testimony that partnership and faithful stewardship can create space for transformation.
Their family prayer continues to guide this mission:
“Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in His holy place? The one who has clean hands and a pure heart…”
– Psalm 24:3-5
When you support our housing program, you are not simply funding a house.
We invite you to pray with us, serve alongside us, and give toward the continued work happening inside Independence House.
All for His glory.
