A sudden change in what we are used to can be disorienting, but Next Steps can help look at the big picture and provide direction to get back on track.

Next Steps has developed a network of resources to help restore or alleviate the need for most situations.

Next Steps is available for short-term or long-term follow through depending on each person’s individual situation.

Step Up and Give

Strengthen our community one neighbor at a time.

In addition to cash donations, Next Steps can use small dollar amount gift cards for restaurants, Walmart, and gas cards. Additionally we accept donations of bus and DART passes. These can be dropped off or mailed to our location.

How It Works

Clients fill out a questionnaire outlining their needs.

A case manager will asses the situation and with the client determine their most urgent need.

Case manager will develop a plan of action and make referrals as needed.

At the client’s request case managers will continue to build relationship, provide additional referrals, advocacy, and mentorship as needed.

Meet Our Director

Pam De Santiago

Pam De Santiago

I am a wife to Humberto and mom to Elaina and Nicholas. I was born and raised in the Buckeye State but have been in Texas for 22 years with 17 of them spent in The Colony. I have always had a heart for those in need and worked in vocational ministry for the last 10 years.

Most recently, I spent 8 years in the non-profit sector handling addiction recovery and local crisis situations. As a licensed Peer Recovery Specialist, I gained experience in these areas to quickly assess a situation and help determine and treat “root cause” issues.

I have created a network of people and places that provide resources. At the same time, I have met so many people who are in need of help, some great, some small. God has placed it on my heart to take on the task of bringing help to those who need it the most. I cannot wait to see what He will do in our neighborhoods when we all combine forces to bring help to those in need!
